121. Lime (Citrus aurantifolia - South Africa)

Lime has a similar action to the other citrus essential oils, and is therefore useful for lymphatic drainage massage, oily skin and acne. It has antiseptic, anti-viral, astringent, bactericide, febrifuge and tonic properties. Lime is also a good digestive tonic. Psychologically, lime is refreshing and uplifting, helping to relieve fatigue, apathy and depression. It adds an interesting note to mood perfumes and massage oils. Do not use if you have very sensitive skin or before exposure to sunlight. Blend well with other citruses, lavender, geranium, rosemary and cypress.

122. Manuka 10% (Leptospermum scoparium - New Zealand)

This oil from New Zealand is very valuable one. It has a long history of use by the Maori people for bronchitis, rheumatism and similar conditions. The colourless essential oil extracted by steam distillation from the leaves. The smell is very sweet and gentle. It has antiviral, anti-fungal and highly bactericidal. It can be used for all respiratory tract infections: colds, catarrh, sinusitis, bronchitis, etc. It's also excellent antiseptic for use on the skin, treating acne and oily skin conditions. This oil blend well with Lavender and Tea Tree for effective result.

123. May Chang (Litsea cubeba - Indonesia)

May Chang or called "Litsea Cubeba" is native to China. The lemon-scented oil is extracted from the fruits and very rich in citral with some linalol. Litsea cubeba is valuable in skin care as it is non-irritant, very antiseptic and effective in treating oily skin, acne and spots with no risk of phtosensitivity, it's widely used as a replacement of citrus oils in facial application. It reduces excessive perspiration and it's refreshing scent can be used as a very good deodorant. Being antiseptic and deodorising, May Chang is very suitable to use as an air-refreshener.

124. Mimosa Abs. 10% (Acacia decurrens - India)

Mimosa absolute is solvent extracted from fresh flowers of the plant. The aroma is fresh, floral, powdery, soft and beautiful sweet honey-like heart note that is very popular in perfumery. The absolute is thick green solid so we dilute 10% of the pure absolute with 99.8% food grade ethanol for easily use. Mimosa absolute is excellent perfume ingredient for floral note and highly recommend as it's quite rarely find in the market. The absolute blend well with Lavender and especially Neroli. Recommend percentage is 0.05%-1.00% in the formula.

125. Myrrh 10% (Commiphora myrrha - Kenya)

Myrrh is the first choice to treat athletes foot, chronic wounds, ulcers and gum infections, and can also be used as a tincture. Its healing reputation stretches back more than four thousand years. Overall, myrrh is healing, soothing and restorative. Myrrh is excellent in skin care, and is especially recommended for use in hand creams and on inflamed skin conditions. It is calming and soothing and good for all stress-related conditions and anxiety. Psychologically, myrrh inspires peace and tranquility. Like frankincense, it is excellent for meditation.

126. Niaouli (Melaleuca quniquenervia veridiflora - Madagascar)

Niaouli is a relative of Tea Tree. It has a gentler, less effective action, but is well tolerated by the skin, making it valuable in a local wash for cleaning wounds. Its vulnerary and antiseptic properties help the wound heal cleanly and quickly. Its gentle action also makes niaouli good for treating urinary-tract infections, thrush and cystitis. Niaouli is good in steam inhalations and baths for coughs, colds, flu, sinusitis and bronchitis. 127. Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans - Indonesia)

Nutmeg is the kernel of the fruit, native to Java and Sumatra. This oil has been recommended to combined with Clove and Rosemary for relieving rheumatic pain. This is certainly a powerful and effective blend, but is should be used with care as it is very stimulating. Nutmeg makes an agreeable addition to winter blends of oils for warming and generally toning up the body, and strengthening its resistance to cold. Nutmeg is also a stimulant of the heart and circulation, another reason for not recommend to those who have high blood pressure problem.

128. Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martini - Nepal)

Palmarosa is much used in all skin-care preparations for its lovely fragrance, sebum-balancing and hydrating properties. It also helps to regenerate healthy new cells. Palmarosa is suited to all skin types, but is especially good for dry and slightly damaged skin, making it a useful addition to face creams, body lotions and hand creams. Spikenard is native to northern India and Nepal. It has been prized for its healing properties and perfume since antiquity. It's an aromatic herb , closely related to Valerian.
