91. Niaouli (Melaleuca quniquenervia veridiflora - Madagascar)

Niaouli is a relative of Tea Tree. It has a gentler, less effective action, but is well tolerated by the skin, making it valuable in a local wash for cleaning wounds. Its vulnerary and antiseptic properties help the wound heal cleanly and quickly. Its gentle action also makes niaouli good for treating urinary-tract infections, thrush and cystitis. Nutmeg is the kernel of the fruit, native to Java and Sumatra. This oil has been recommended to combined with Clove and Rosemary for relieving rheumatic pain. 93. Oakmoss 10% (Evernia prunastri - Macedonia)

Oakmoss is one of the most commonly used raw materials of perfumes. Often used as a fixative, it not only improves the longevity of the composition but also lends a delicate forest-like, rich and earthy aroma to the fragrant composition, leaving a natural, damp and creamy soft trail. 94. Opoponax (Commiphora erythraea - Somalia)

Opoponax oil or sweet myrrh is steam distilled from the crude oleogum resin. It's described as having antispasmodic, expectorant and antiseptic properties, which used to be employed in asthma, hysteria and visceral afflictions. This orange-yellow essential oil is a useful material as a fixative and fragrance component in high-class perfumery, which offer sweet, balsamic and almost effervescent in character.
